When I first arrived, it was a little hard to find the hotel, but once inside, the rooms were nice and close to good restaurants in the central business district. However, there was a weird smell in the rooms. The service was very pleasant, though the breakfast area felt a bit small for the size of the hotel. The location is unbeatable if you're in McAllen without a car, with everything close by and convenient. The dining experience was very nice, with plenty of choices, but the cold buffet dishes were a downside.
